I am so excited for you to join me on this adventure we call life. I am a wife, mother, educator, and faith-filled child of God.
In recent years, I have developed a passion to lead others and share the experiences I have gained as an educator. I will be sharing experiences from my 16 years in the classroom and now in my new role as an instructional coach.
Ever since I was a 4 year old in Mrs. N’s pre-k Montessori classroom, I knew I was going to be a teacher. I was goal oriented throughout my schooling and graduated in 2005 with my degree in elementary education. I have been in public education ever since.
Throughout the years, I have taught kindergarten-4th grade. From 2011 to 2020 I taught Montessori in a multi-aged, 1st-3rd grade, classroom. Those were the most challenging, yet rewarding years in education. I learned so much about individualized education through observing the whole child; allowing students to have freedom of choice in order to develop responsibility; mentoring colleagues on how to incorporate standards within differentiated learning. I transitioned from the classroom for the 2020-2021 school year to become an instructional coach in a K-5 public elementary school.
